This new office building houses the offices of Western Experts, a national transportation insurance wholesaler, and was built to a very high standard of architectural detail. This building was not only a complex structure on a tight urban infill site, it was also built to LEED Gold standards. The building incorporates many green building features including rain gardens for surface water run-off control, and Washington made solar panels that feed excess power back into the power grid. PHC assisted the client in capitalizing on a number of grant programs to incorporate these green features. Grants were issued for the energy star HVAC system, LED lighting, and a super insulated shell.
