Bainbridge Island Museum of Art
The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is the cultural center of Bainbridge Island. Situated on a prominent corner of Bainbridge Island, Washington, it provides an inspiring, creative experience for residents and visitors alike with a collection of artwork from the Pacific Northwest region and feature traveling exhibits from all over the world.
The goal of the museum is to serve as a cultural campus with daily activities focused on the arts. It serves the public by promoting and preserving fine examples of local and regional contemporary art and crafts, and by offering educational opportunities for all ages and skill levels.
The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is an educational institution whose mission is to engage a diverse population with the art of our region and our time. The museum exhibits, interprets, preserves, collects and promotes works of proven cultural value as well as new works by emerging artists and craftspeople.
The 15,000 square foot building opening in June 2013 and has a goal of being LEED Gold certified.
